Warning: I might be on the take.
This site is a one man show. I have built it for you because I really care about improving your self-esteem, your connections, and your general place in the world through confidence, health and style. I’m not a powerful corporation, and I don’t have unlimited funds to keep this site up and running. Even still, the FTC requires that I disclose to you my “material connections” with companies that may influence any content that is placed on this site.
So here’s the thing:
I may use affiliate links in my posts. This means that when you click on my link and/or buy something through it – I get a tiny cut. In fact, scratch the may – let’s just assume that every link I post is an affiliate link – there may be exceptions, but frankly, I don’t get paid for those, so I use affiliate links wherever possible. These funds keep the site running, put clothes on my back, and food in my belly. The good news for you is that using these links helps me and does not cost you anything extra.
I only recommend products that I like, and would personally buy. The affiliate links do not sway my opinons about the items or cause me to recommend things that I don’t believe are in your best interest.
I may, at some point, give a review or recommendation based on a product that someone gave or loaned to me free of charge. If I like it, I might keep it. If I don’t, I may
make a few bucks by selling it. This will not affect my review or the opinion that I give about it. If you’re one of the people that want to give me free stuff, and don’t mind that I will express my real opinion when reviewing it – hit me up through our contact page or twitter: @steamandroll, I’d love to check it out.
While trying to figure out how to “monetize” this blog shudder, I may have other ads, sponsored post, or any number of things. Here is what I promise – any words that are not my own, will be clearly labled as “sponsored” or “paid”.
If you have any questions about this policy, or even better – if you want to talk about how style, health and confidence can make you a better version of your self – ping me. I’ll be around.
