I started this site to make it easy and painless for regular guys to dress well. I organized the site based on the ways that I thought most guys search for things. I created categories for the different key areas, like how clothes should fit and the basic essentials of a great wardrobe to make things simple and easy to navigate, but now I see that I didn’t go far enough. So now we’re going to try to make that even simpler.
With such a huge selection how do we separate the great from the garbage?
I’ve been talking with a lot of friends recently about the ways that most of us shop (To those of you that I’ve talked to. Thanks! You rock!) and you told me that that buying online is great! It’s remarkably convenient, shipping is faster than it’s ever been, and there is a huge selection of items available. But, this also introduces other problems. With such a huge selection how do we separate the great from the garbage? We can read reviews online, or ask a friend, but most of us are still very skeptical of the quality of things that we buy from websites. If we can’t touch them, we are far less likely to feel comfortable purchasing them. This is especially true for clothing.
We are still skeptical of the quality of things we buy…
I’ve also realized that most of you don’t want to go shopping around for tons of options. You want to find the best thing, stock up, and quit worrying about it. Avoiding lines, stores, malls, and pushy or incompetent salespeople is one of the primary benefits of reading a site like this.
You want to find the best thing, stock up, and quit worrying about it.
So here is the plan. As an experiment, I’m going to go find the best. Great items that aren’t crazy expensive, but will wear well, and will up your look. Fortunately, I live in a great city that gives me access to some of the best retail clothing stores anywhere (except maybe New York). This gives me the ability to do the dirty, hands-on work, and let’s you order online with confidence, but before I get started…
